Due to unforeseen circumstances and with pain in the heart, we are forced to cancel Splitbus Nation 2023, we apologize to the people who have already made preparations for our event.
We would like to thank everyone who has supported us over the past years, especially our sponsors, participants and visitors.
We would also like to thank our volunteers, without volunteers no event!
Splitbus Nation Crew
The 6th edition of Splitbus Nation was a party edition, we have been in existence for 10 years now and we have celebrated that!
New this edition was a Kubb tournament on Friday evening, which was a great success among our participants.
On Saturday our well-known line-up was on the program, followed by the tour that took us to the beautiful Verbeke Foundation.
Saturday night 'The Gambits' rocked the house, with the dance floor well filled!
It was very hot on Sunday, but this did not spoil the cozy atmosphere!
The beautiful barndoor samba by Bob De Mey was voted Best of Show!
Splitbus Nation 2016 is behind us now, but we like to look back to this wonderfull edition.
A bright blue sky, a record number of buses and the right vibes… what else can we wish for?
On Saturday we had a line up of at least 70 buses and 62 of them participated to the tour.
Sunday we welcomed 128 buses from Belgium, but also a lot from foreign countries. These numbers make Splitbus Nation 2016 the best edition ever!
We like to thank everyone who helped us to make this show such a success.
To all bus owners, visitors, traders and sponsors: a big thank you for your support and enthousiasm.
On 25, 26 and 27 July 2014 Splitbus Nation was held fort he first time in July. For this forth edition the domain Puyenbroeck in Wachtebeke (Belgium) was again the scene for more than 100 split screen vans. Thanks to our main sponsor BBT and all other sponsors the crew of Splitbus Nation was able to organise this great event.
On Saturday the tour went, guided by many Vespa scooters, to an aircooled Volkswagen shop ‘The Cool VW’ in Kloosterzande (the Netherlands).
Saturday evening the organised bbq was graced by live music.
There was also the meeting with a trade market full of Volkswagen related items and a lot of entertainment. We didn’t forget the kids because Splitbus Nation is and will be a family friendly event. During the show&shine an international jury has chosen the most beautiful buses and has awarded the winners. All bus owners did also participate to a tombola.
A huge thunderstorm at the end couldn’t spoil the fun and everyone can look back to a fantastic event.
The third edition of Splitbus Nation, an event for splitbuses only, was held on the 4th and 5th of August 2012 at Puyenbroeck, Wachtebeke, Belgium. This biennial event is dedicated to Volkswagen T1 buses. The event was made possible by BBT and a lot of other sponsors. More than 100 splitbus owners from France, Germany, the Netherlands, England and even Scotland paid a visit to Splitbus Nation.
On Sunday you could visit the site and check out a lot of exhibitors, who were pinstriping or sold miniatures, T- shirts or VW parts. There were also a lot of activities for families and children. There was a bouncy castle, grime and children could paint on a real VW beetle.
The recreational park Puyenbroeck has a lot to offer. There are clean, new sanitary blocks and you have electrical facilities at the campsite. You can enjoy a swim at the olympic pool, play minigolf, go to one of the many playgrounds or have a meal at the restaurant, "De 4 Seizoenen".
For the second time organized Splitbus Nation, with BBT as a sponsor, an international Split bus-only event "Splitbus Nation". This event was once again like last edition, held in the Domain Puyenbroeck in Wachtebeke (Belgium).
Exactly 100 split buses participated in Splitbus Nation 2010! On this site you can find reports and pictures from the event. Have fun reading and viewing them!
The Splitbus Nation team thanks all participants and visitors at Splitbus Nation 2010! We have enjoyed it with you and together we have made it a great success. Again, MANY THANKS!
The Belgian split van registry had the idea to organize a meeting that brought together all these Splitbus owners. The name was chosen "Splitbus Nation" because it was about bringing together a nation, a nation of Splitbus-lovers.
The first meeting in 2008, with Kieft and Klok as mainsponsor, was a great success with 90 split busses from home and abroad.
After the success of this first encounter there was decided on a multi-day event for the next meet-up, and to organize it every two years, alternating with colleagues from the Netherlands (Splits at the Lake).
